BM&S Founding Partner Lisa Black Speaks at DRI Law Firm Leaders & Managing Partners Conference

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP Founding Partner Lisa Black was a speaker at the DRI’s Law Firm Leaders and Managing Partners Conference held in San Diego, November 1-2, 2022. BM&S Partner Dana Marjieh also attended the conference.

The 2022 Law Firm Leaders and Managing Partners Conference explored what it means to manage a law firm in these post-pandemic times. Scarce human resources, increasing overhead expenses, cyber-security threats, and changing client expectations have come to the forefront of law firm management since the world shut down in March 2020. This conference armed law firm leaders with knowledge from numerous sources on the best ways to address and attack the challenges law firms continue to face following the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Lisa presented with Brian Kennel, of PerformLaw, based in New Orleans, LA. The topic of their presentation was Law Firm Logistics After Covid, and was geared towards the financial and day-to-day operational changes seen throughout the legal industry during and now after the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on all aspects of managing a law firm in the post-pandemic world.

“I really enjoyed presenting with Brian Kennel and participating in the exchange of ideas with other managing partners and law firm leaders from all over the country,” said Lisa. “We gained insight as to creative management solutions to common issues in the post-Covid world.  A big thanks to Mandy (Kamykowski) and Robert (Luskin) for their hard work on this excellent program. As always, we look forward to attending in the future.”
