BM&S Partner Sheryl A. Sanford Volunteers at Hillside Food Outreach

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP Partner Sheryl A. Sanford spent last Monday evening volunteering stocking shelves at Hillside Food Outreach.

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP strives to make a difference in the community by participating in charitable giving and activities that reflect the causes of its associates, staff and partners. We support the needs of our communities through donations and days of service.

Hillside Food Outreach, a grassroots pantry, was initially formed in 1997 to feed 20 elderly people in need of healthy food in the apartment building where the founder’s grandmother resided. The not-for-profit organization grew as the need in the community became apparent.

To learn how you can help Hillside Food Outreach feed people in need in local communities, visit the website: http://hillsidefoodoutreach.org/how-to-help/ In addition to shelf stocking work, there are also volunteer opportunities to deliver food to the elderly who are in need and appreciate the companionship of the food delivery person who volunteers once a month and gets to know his or her family. You can also become a “Hunger Hero” by making a financial commitment.
