Seven BM&S Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2023 Honors

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce seven of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2023 honors. Five BM&S attorneys were named to the 2023 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and two BM&S attorneys were named 2023 New York Metro Rising Stars.

Partners Lisa J. Black, Sheryl A. Sanford, Steven R. Lau, John W. Bieder, and Nicole P. Aldridge-Henry have been selected as 2023 Super Lawyers.

Partners Dana K. Marjieh and Nicholas O. Paslow have been named 2023 Rising Stars.

This is the sixth straight year Black, and Sanford have received the Super Lawyer distinction. This is the fifth consecutive year Lau has been named a Super Lawyer, and the fifth straight year Marjieh and Paslow have been honored as Rising Stars. Aldridge-Henry was a Rising Star for four straight years prior to this year’s Super Lawyer selection.

“We are thrilled that seven of our dedicated attorneys have been recognized with this prestigious honor,” said founding partner Lisa Black. “This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, knowledge, and collaboration of our entire BM&S team.”

Super Lawyers selects attorneys on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

Less than five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers and less than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
