This is the fifth straight year Black, Sanford, and Lofrese have received the Super Lawyer distinction. This is the fourth consecutive year Lau has been named a Super Lawyer, and the fourth straight year Aldridge-Henry, Marjieh, and Paslow have been honored as Rising Stars.
“We are honored to have eight of our attorneys acknowledged with this award,” said founding partner Lisa Black. “This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, knowledge, and collaboration of our entire BM&S team.”
Super Lawyers selects attorneys on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
Less than five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers and less than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
