BM&S to Sponsor DRI Construction Law Conference to Be Held April 1-3; Partner Dana Marjieh to Moderate Panel

What Do You Do When You’ve Been Hacked? That’s the subject of a panel at the upcoming DRI Construction Law Conference to be held April 1-3, 2020 in Chicago. The panel—which will be moderated by BM&S Partner Dana Marjiehis one of many at the two-day conference which will deal with changing technology and the cyber risks that come with it.

Cyberattacks can have major consequences for an organization’s physical assets and business continuity. When attacks occur, they can lead to severe consequential damage and business interruption losses. The panel moderated by Dana Marjieh will discuss different types of breaches and how to respond.

BM&S helps clients navigate this ever-changing world by providing proactive cybersecurity, risk assessment, and breach preparation. The firm is proud to be a conference sponsor.

“The construction industry is not immune to cyber threats, and vulnerabilities may occur through means and devices that would not ordinarily come to mind,” said Marjieh. “It is imperative that the construction industry realizes these risks and how to protect against them.”

Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about current MBE/WBE contracting issues; the impact of climate change on building design and claims; practical steps to address lawyer well-being; and public-private partnerships and related contract/delay claims.
