Seven Black Marjieh & Sanford Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2019 Honors

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce seven of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2019 honors. Four BM&S attorneys were named to the 2019 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and three BM&S attorneys were named 2019 New York Metro Rising Stars.

Partners Lisa J. Black, Sheryl A. Sanford, James J. Lofrese, and Steven R. Lau were selected as Super Lawyers. Partner Dana K. Marjieh, Trial Counsel Nicole P. Aldridge-Henry, and Associate Nicholas O. Paslow were named Rising Stars.

This is the second straight year Black, Sanford, and Lofrese have received the Super Lawyer distinction.

“We are honored to have so many of our attorneys recognized for this award,” said Dana Marjieh, one of the BM&S founding partners. “This is a reflection of the experience, knowledge, and dedication of the entire BM&S team.”

Super Lawyers selects attorneys on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers. No more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
