Black Marjieh Gives Back with Feeding Westchester
On Friday, March 23, the Black Marjieh team was honored to hold its first Giving Back event at Feeding Westchester, a local not-for-profit organization with the mission to end hunger in Westchester county. The office closed early on Friday and the team packed hundreds of bags with food for students to take home with them over weekends to ensure that they will not go hungry.
Black Marjieh partner Rob Leff stated that, “Our firm’s philosophy is to put people first and give back to our community. Volunteering as a firm was an amazing experience made all the more meaningful by sharing it with our Black Marjieh team, who are all passionate about helping others. It was fantastic to learn about everything that Feeding Westchester does in our community. We have been seeking a charity to adopt, and we found it.”
Plans are in the works for a continued partnership with Feeding Westchester, including becoming part of the “Guardian Angel” list of volunteers who are called on short notice to help out with emerging needs, volunteering as a firm on a regular basis, taking part in larger community events and providing monetary support for the important work of the organization.
